Deadly Secrets - Jaycee Clark I thought it would be better. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but there was something that was wrong. The backcover story led me to think something else entirely different, but the story was really simple. All was a big misunderstanding. The heroine was too whinny, even if why she was so, at least in the last part of the book, was understandable. But at the biginning I thought that she would be different, that she would be pro-active and strong. Instead she just fell short and become a soft damisel-in-distress type better suited to a boddice-ripper historicals. Her reasons was actually stupid (as he herself says in the second part of the book).
The same could be said for the hero.
It was worth reading for the background story. I really hated the "villain" and his reasoning.
